Preparing for Fall - dark lipstick and colder toned shadows.

(1) Prep your skin with some of your every day moisturiser.
(2) Apply your foundation (mine was Double Wear by Estee)
(3) Pop on your brows (I used a brown shadow from the MUA pallet pictured to the left)
(4) Use TWO colours to create a very basic smokey eye, I prefer matte, cold colours  at this time of the year.
(5) Apply your gel liner (I used INGLOT)
(6) Mascara, Mascara, Mascara! (I used Givenchy).
(7) Sculpt with another brown toned shadow from your pallet.
(8) Blush from SLEEK. (thank you Beth)
(9) Highlight is key, again going for colder tones! (I used Chanel)
(10) Prep your lips (I used EOS) then apply your lipstick (I used Illamasqua)

Of course you can mix and match any products you want! For this look I really just wanted to use as little products as possible. I was picturing putting all of these items into my purse and being able to apply a fully viable face of make up at the drop of a hat. If you also notice I used a VERY big range of products in terms of money! From €5.00 MUA pallets to €68 Chanel Highlighters, remember whatever works for you is what matters - not the label on the box.

How to change things up, how to breathe a new lease of life into your make up.  I have one very simple, affordable, EASY answer : LIPSTICK. If you look through trend diaries, beauty blogs or even an issue of Vogue, you will see how effortlessly an entire look is fixed, finished and polished by the right choice of a lipstick. Be brave, be daring. Choose that shade that you might think is just a little bit too dark. If you can see from my look above all it took was one swipe of some rather dark purple lipstick to transform my every day look into something I felt confident in!
