Hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Just a really quick fill in post with a few make overs from the last little while! I've promised myself I'll start remembering to take pictures! Products used from the make over above : mac face and body, urban decay primer, givenchy gold highlighter, inglot bronzer, lashes, inglot eye shadows, hd brow pallet, mac lipstick, mac lip glass.
I had the pleasure of doing my beautiful Aunt's make up last weekend! Above is a quick before and after picture of the look we created. Sadly I stupidly didn't get any actual photographs of the look but I thought I'd talk through the look quickly :
(1) Color : This look was going to be going with a very colourful out fit, so although we wanted colour to be incorporated into the look we didn't want to over power it. By using colour in the crease we created a much more natural purple and white smokey eye. Although you can't see it in these pictures (someone needs to tattoo 'take pictures' on my forehead when I'm doing make overs) we also ran a smokey purple UNDER the eyes to really pull the look together.
(2) SCULPTING : highlight and sculpting was one of the most important aspects of this look. It was for a wedding so we knew there would be a hundred and one photographs. All it takes is some well placed bronzer and a brush of highlighter to completely re-shape your face.
(3) Flawless skin : Although already blessed with beautiful skin, it was one of the main things I wanted to work with in this look. I used a mix of Nars and Dior to create that effortlessly flawless skin look.
My life is nearly as messy as my make up station in my house. Make up station sounds very fancy doesn't it?! Lets get realistic, I mean my kitchen table! If I have a few make overs in the one day I'll just set up and stay pretty much set up for the entire day. This is only the make up set up that I had for a very subtle look so I only had two drawers out where as if I'm doing a full look I'll have : four drawers, two kit's, and my full travel kit. People often ask me about my make up set up so I thought I'd show you my most recent one!
Another really quick picture post, you can tell I'm really not that great at taking pictures of things right? I mean I'll sit at home taking pictures of products for hours but I never think of taking out my phone when I'm doing peoples make up! It was a good friends birthday a few weeks ago and every girl deserves to get spoiled on their birthday right? So of course I offered to do Abbey's make up for her big day! Abbey is already crazy pretty to begin with so we decided to go for something really subtle and simple! Brows, light smokey eye, shading and a nude tint lip! Very elegant, classic, very Abbey! Remember guys, your friends are the family you get to choose! (Thanks to Abbey for letting me rob this selfie off her page to post!)
Products used : Clinique foundation, Bobbi Brown foundation stick, Naked pallet for her brows, INGLOT shadow for all sculpting, Chanel illuminating powder for highlight, INGLOT Gel liner, MAC 'Follie' on her eyes, M.A.C myth on her lips mixed with an INGLOT lip pencil!
Another super quick before and after collage I made from iPhone snaps during a make over! The aim of this was long lasting and glowing skin! Products used : mac face and body, mac prep and prime, bobbi brown foundation stick, inglot sculpting powder, inglot setting powder, urban decay on eye eyes, HD brow pallet, mac bronzer, mac lipstick, lashes!
