Guys, I'm breaking my blogging schedule and messing up my perfectly organised page of this weeks plans because I just had to show you this. I'm sure at this stage you guys all know just how much I ADORE the Naked Pallet franchise. Wow I couldn't even get through one sentence without being sarcastic. If you read my blog all the time you will see my post on *Naked Pallet(s) The Most Overrated Beauty Product* and you will know exactly how I feel about this launch of Naked Basics 2.
To begin with Naked Basics was made as a 'travel friendly', compact, matte version of Naked. Basically a smaller copy of the product. From there they have managed to make a copy, of the product that was already a copy of their original product. Exciting news right? Well ironically enough it's apparently already sold out in pre-sale on their American website and people are running around the Internet talking about how they will 'die' without getting this product as soon as possible.
Half of me is really annoyed at Urban Decay because like I said a million and one times about how they are selling out, repeating and basically making a mockery of their original ethos. The other half of me? Is pretty impressed. I mean someone is literally sitting in an office in the Urban Decay head quarters and they are thinking 'How can I take even more money off all these fans who would basically buy an empty pot if we said it was the new must have Urban product'.
Either way it's happening and I guess we can all sit and wait on the edge of our seats for this original, new, exciting release. I wonder how long they can honestly drag this on? I mean is this going to be like the 'Now 76' CD mixes that my mom see's in HMV and says 'Oh Kelly I remember when it was only 'Now 7' in my days. I mean am I going to be strolling through Sephora with my child in years to come saying 'Naked Pallet 85? God I remember when I owned the first one'.
