One of my favourite bronzers right now (that I happened to smash in America) is my Magnetic Appeal Mac highlighter and bronzer built into one. It's gold and delicious and it looks so good I wish I could eat it and turn that colour from head to toe. It's beautiful with my natural skin tone, it's beautiful when I've a tan. It's not really strong enough in my opinion for sculpting but it's beautiful as an over all colour.
The pigment is very strong if you do a finger press test but I don't feel like it translates that great onto your brush. I personally use a Dior bronzing brush and I some times feel like I'm having to press so hard into my pan that I worry I'll break through the pigment. It is a little bit of hard work but it is definitely worth it.
*Apparently still available on the Nordstrom website
MAC Magnetic Appeal Extra Dimension Skinfinish (a medium tan with a fine golden sheen)
A liquid powder highlighter with prismatic reflections that sculpts, highlights and moods the face. The cool, creamy near fluid formulas a luminous defined finish. Wears 10 hours $30.00
*Yet again like most amazing M.A.C Cosmetic products this is (was?) limited edition.
My favourite thing about this bronzer (is it technically a bronzer? I think they are calling it a highlighter?) is that I can co-use it on my eyes. One of my favourite things about doing a very natural look when I have tan (which I know is not natural) - is using the same bronzer on my cheeks/sculpting as I do through the crease of my eyes. It can create a very even toned look with your complexion, giving the illusion of a 'bronzed' look.
I'm going to be killed in my sleep tonight for this but I thought instead of just showing how the gold works on my skin I thought I'd show it for you on another skin tone! This is my beautiful sister and we were discussing playing with bronzing and sculpting. After a bit of arm twisting she finally let me pop on some of the MAC Magnetic Appeal Extra Dimension Skin Finish. As you can see from how great it looks on her skin - she fell in love!
There will be another post coming super soon on all of my sculpting secrets! It's probably one of my most requested blog posts so I promise I will be getting around to it this week.
